1. ELLI INGRAM (Brighton, England)

Alright, so Elli Ingram has been in the game for a hot minute – She garnered a lot of attention with her soulful rendition of “Poetic Justice” (one of my favorite covers still in 2017),  and The Sober EP and The Doghouse came out in 2013 and 2014 respectively. However, I feel like there’s still a lot of people, especially those in the states, that haven’t heard her music. And with a voice like that, her work needs to be shared.

Especially bangin’ if you enjoy Amy Winehouse, Jessie Ware, or Kali Uchis.

2. IVY SOLE (Charlotte, North Carolina)

Especially bangin’ if you’re into Sampa the Great, Noname, or Kari Faux. Add Sole to your Alt Hip-Hop, Alternative R&B, and poetic females playlists.

Life” is one of her biggest hits, but I am really into her latest release which you can press play on below. “Rooftop” is a soulfully chill Hip-Hop jam about the struggles of finding yourself and your place. Stuck on repeat. Do yourself a favor and get familiar.

Follow Her: Facebook. Spotify. Soundcloud.

3. AMBER MARK (New York City, New York)

Especially bangin’ if you’re into Ibeyi, Ravyn Lenae, or Jorja Smith.

Discovered via Soundcloud last year (this is why we need Soundcloud!), the 23-year-old has traveled around the world and lived in different countries. I believe it’s this factor that helps to set her music apart from the rest, giving it that extra edge and unique sound that is hard to describe or define – which is a big reason why I’m so into it.

Start with “Space” then move onto “Lose My Cool” and then her latest release below.

4. KLLO (Melbourne, Australia)
